Were relationships as hard in the “good old days” as they are today?
You betcha!
We just have more choices now that were not available years ago. And, that is a good thing. I call it freedom.
While you may not always be happy about the choices your spouse makes, they like you, should be free to decide what ever it is that they truly want to do. We all know that major decisions do not come with out consequences. Consequences are a gage; the more at stake the riskier the choices.
The tough part is when the one we love chooses to behave in a manner that is detrimental to our relationship. Cheating never happens by accident!
Once your spouse is determined to have an affair, you probably couldn’t stop them. If by chance you could, there is a huge likelihood that the inevitable will happen down the road anyway.
Suspecting your husband of having an affair, most people would agree, is a disturbing place to be to say the lest. The side affects of this notion are toxic to you and your marriage. If you have any inkling your spouse is cheating on you or you have seen signs of cheating to cause you suspicion, then you need to confirm it – the sooner the better.
Wrack your brain. What was the catalyst to your suspicions? Was there a major incident that happened between you and your husband, are you feeling insecure in your relationship, have you come across something unusual or do you have an uneasy feeling for no particular reason for why you think he has strayed?
Perhaps your suspicions are not justified, and your worries put an unnecessary strain on an already challenged relationship. Isn’t it better to work on improving your marriage rather than damaging it?
Instead of being in a state of question, the first step towards your freedom of mind is to know if infidelity exists in the first place. Know the signs and find out the truth.
Whether you discover that indeed your husband has breeched your trust by having an affair or your suspicions are non founded, either way, more choices open up for you.
Knowing the facts will not change the situation but they will help you to make informed choices and have fewer regrets down the road.
